Opting for the Japanese room, I appreciated the traditional design with tatami mats and futon beds, though I found them a bit thin, requiring an extra layer for comfort. The hotel's facilities met basic needs with a small yet functional bathroom and a hot bath on the 5th floor, perfect for relaxation after a day of sightseeing. While the room was spacious and offered amenities like Wi-Fi and a flat-screen TV, the absence of air conditioning made it slightly uncomfortable during warmer days. Housekeeping maintained a decent standard, keeping the room clean and tidy. However, the lack of free toiletries was a downside considering the price point. The on-site restaurant provided a satisfactory dining experience, though options were limited compared to other luxury establishments.In terms of value, Station Kyoto West strikes a balance between affordability and essential amenities. For travelers seeking a budget-friendly accommodation with a convenient location and no-frills comfort, this hotel serves as a practical choice.
